What made you want to run a gardening business?
I love working outside and with nature and realise how a well maintained garden can benefit customers and the environment. I insist on the highest possible standards in whatever garden environment I'm working in.
What would you tell someone before they hire any gardener?
Make sure you employ a professional, fully qualified and knowledgeable gardener. You wouldn't let a complete novice service your car so why let one attempt to look after your garden. Cheap usually means unqualified and unreliable.
What kind of job do you most look forward to, and why?
All jobs as they all have a part to play in maintaining and improving the garden and helping nature. A neatly trimmed hedge at the right time of year, a striped lawn and a weeded and dug over border all add to the garden.
Which garden are you proudest of?
All the gardens and grounds I maintain are different in their own ways and I pride myself on being experienced, knowledgeable and flexible enough to make all my gardens look the best they possibly can.
