Your name is on the page.
Nothing else is.

A free listing gives a customer nothing to tap — no number, no website, no way to reach you. £25 a year fixes all three. Pick your area and see what is left in it.

Live today in almost every case. One payment, 365 days, no auto-renew.

  • £25 a year — about 7p a day
  • Do-follow link, not a nofollow like the big directories
  • Refund if it brings you nothing in 12 months
The whole difference

This is what £25 changes.

Same page, same area, same customer looking for a gardener this afternoon.

What customers see now

Your Garden Business

No number. No website. Nothing to tap.

A free listing proves you exist. It does not give anybody a way to reach you — they scroll past to whoever left a number.

What customers see after

The sums

You don't need this to work well.
You need it to work once.

7p a day, which is what £25 a year comes to
1 cut at a typical £30 covers the whole year, with change
£720 what one kept customer at £60 a month is worth over a year

Figures are typical UK maintenance rates, not a promise about your area. The point is the shape of it: one job, once, and the listing has paid for itself for twelve months.

Compared with

What it costs you to get found now

Where What it costs What you get for it
Bark and the lead apps £25–£50 per lead The right to contact one customer — who is being contacted by four other gardeners at the same time. Charged whether you win it or not.
Trade directories Monthly, ongoing A profile that disappears the month you stop paying. Outbound links are usually nofollow, so they do nothing for your own site.
Your own website Build cost, then 6–12 months Nothing at all for the first year — no history, no links pointing at it, no reviews. It gets there eventually. Eventually is the problem.
Featured on Shear Power £25 a year Top of your area page for 365 days, your number on it, and a do-follow link to your site. One payment.

Lead-app pricing is what gardeners in this trade report paying per lead they express interest in — not per job won. On a £30 grass cut that maths never works, which is exactly why we did not build one.

The offer

What £25 a year actually buys

  • Your phone number on the page. A customer who wants you can ring you this afternoon instead of scrolling to whoever left a number.
  • Top of the area page for 365 days. Above every free listing.
  • A do-follow link to your own website. A real link from a real site with history behind it. Most directories nofollow theirs — that is the difference between a link that counts and a link that does not.
  • Live today, in almost every case. Garden businesses are approved on the spot when you pay.
  • Change it whenever you like. New number, new site, new name — email us and it is done, no charge.
  • No contract and no auto-renew. It runs 365 days and stops. We email you before it does.
Pick your area

Only 3 businesses can ever be featured on any one area page. Choose your country and area and we will show you how many are left in yours.

Ben Gillott

Nothing in twelve months? Ask for it back.

Every tap on your phone number and every click through to your website is counted against your listing. If that number is still zero after 365 days, email me and I will refund the £25. No form to fill in and no argument about it.

We count taps and clicks only — the count holds no information about who did it. We cannot see what happened on your phone after the tap, so a call you took and did not win still counts as interest. That is deliberately in your favour.

One more thing

£25 for the year. Pick your area.

One payment. Live today. Refunded if it brings you nothing in a year.

Don't want a listing on the local page — want the page itself? One gardener runs Shear Power in each area, and this one is unclaimed.

Straight answers

The questions gardeners actually ask

Who is actually behind this?

Ben Gillott, in Swansea. He has run the Shear Power round himself — mowers, hedge trimmers, wet Tuesdays — and still does. This is not a directory built by someone who has never done the job, which is mostly why the free tier exists at all.

What happens after 365 days?

It stops, and your listing drops back to the free name-only version. Nothing renews on its own and no card is kept on file. We email you 30 days, 14 days and 2 days before it ends so it never lapses by surprise.

How many other gardeners can be featured here?

3 per area. That is a hard cap. Everyone else on the page is free and name-only, however many of them there are.

Is the do-follow link actually worth anything?

A do-follow link is one that search engines are allowed to count toward your site's standing. Most directories mark their outbound links nofollow, which means they pass nothing on. Ours does not.

What we will not tell you is that one link will move you up the rankings. It is one decent link from a relevant site — worth having, not magic. Anyone promising more than that is selling something else.

What if Shear Power takes on a team in my area?

If a licensee takes this territory, their panel goes to the top of the page and featured listings move to directly beneath it. You keep your number, your link and your position above every free listing for the rest of your 365 days. We will not remove a paid listing to make room for anyone.

Do you sell my details on?

No. Your business name, number and website go on the page because that is what you are paying for. Your email is used to contact you about your own listing. We do not sell leads and we do not pass anything to anybody.
