What made you want to run a gardening business?
I started IB's Gardening Service after noticing a gap in the Wiltshire market for a gardener who doesn't just 'mow and go,' but actually takes pride in the details. Based in Devizes, I've built this business on the values of absolute reliability and professional expertise.
What would you tell someone before they hire any gardener?
Make sure they have the relevant insurance required for the job. Make sure they have a waste license if they are taking away the waste. Make sure to get multiple quotes and always get them to do a walk around with you so you can see what they are like in person and if you want their attitude on your garden.
What kind of job do you most look forward to, and why?
I look forward to any type of job because I can see the difference it makes. But if there is one job I could choose to do all the time then it would be pressure washing as the difference it makes is spectacular.
Which garden are you proudest of?
I am proud of all the gardens that I maintain. If the client is happy with their garden then so am I. I always put 100% into every garden that I maintain.
What do you drive for work, and what made you choose it?
2011 Ford Focus Sport. I chose this vehicle because it's my personal vehicle but it's what I can currently afford to run but I am hoping to get a van when the business establishes a bit more.
Is there a bit of kit you would not be without?
My lawn maintenance kit (Mower, blower and trimmer) as that's what most of my jobs involve.
