What would you tell someone before they hire any gardener?
It will be the best thing you ever do, go out and buy a planner as with all your weekends freed up your need to find something fun to do each weekend now the family.
What kind of job do you most look forward to, and why?
I actually really enjoy the garden clearance jobs. Just seeing a thick mass of brambles, bushes and junk be transformed into a usable outdoor space in a day or so. It makes for spectacular before and after photos.
Which garden are you proudest of?
Some of the gardens we get to work on are huge, they have amazing flower beds and trees, they are very beautiful gardens. But I am most proud of my own little garden at home, my flat bowling green lawn and vegetables I try and grow each year.
What do gardens round your way need that people tend to get wrong?
There is a lot of shady gardens due to surrounding building as this causes a lot of moss growth in the lawns. Many customers have "lawns" which are actually more like 80% moss field.
What do you drive for work, and what made you choose it?
Just a simple vauxhall astra estate car.
Is there a bit of kit you would not be without?
Well I suppose being without a lawnmower would be the worst but in truth every bit of kit is vital to the business.
